eQe Track Record
Typically every 18 months through our Therapeutic Outdoor Interventions, Forest Schools and other Outdoor Learning Programmes, eQeOUTDOORS touches the lives of over 750 children, young people and adults, progressing them personally in life skills and learning.
For schools – Over 120 schools have now introduced eQe’s approaches directly and many more have accessed eQe training. More than 110 school staff have been trained to run eQe programmes or interventions at their own schools.
Since 1998 eQe people have been teaching and training people; delivering professional therapeutic provision and interventions in schools since 2002; and working professionally in and with the natural environment and the great outdoors since 1983.
: In working with children, eQe’s Managing Director – Bridget Sheehan – received the Play Therapy International Award in 2006 for the work she spearheads. She is also the creator of the Th.Inc Room™ (Therapeutic Inclusion Room) model which is widely recognised, and is implemented across the North West in over 100 schools, and continues to be newly implemented in schools by eQe today.
Originally focused on inclusion of children who were failing to access school fully due to emotional difficulties, recorded data from schools, parents and children originally showed significant, measurable improvement in clients, averaging at
- 75% of children improved in emotional behaviour
- 67% of children improved in learning behaviour
- 58% of children improved in conduct behaviour
Her work has now progressed much further than anyone could have imagined since 2002, and it continues to develop, enabling schools to utilise superior combinations of interventions themselves, via eQe’s unique Capacity-Building training programmes designed, developed and delivered by the eQe experts.
